7 reasons to co-work at Work Nest
You've finally found some freedom in your work life. You can set your own hours and have the flexibility to work wherever you like. Woo hoo!
Working in your PJ's from your sofa may have been great at first but now you need a place to meet clients that doesn't invade your personal space or have blenders screaming in the background. Undoubtedly, having a space that provides access to business services and conference rooms presents a much better image for you to bring an associate to for a meeting rather than having them drop by your house or in a crowded coffee shop.
Perhaps you're not ready to invest in a permanent office space and maybe you've heard of co-working... but is it right for you?
There are a surprising number of advantages that you may or may not be aware that co-working offers. Here are 7 great benefits to consider:
1) Increased productivity
Work more productively by surrounding yourself with others hard at work. Co-working spaces provide a place to get away from distractions at home, as well as a professional setting for clients. Best of all, they help build confidence and community with like-minded professionals.
2) Decrease isolation
Working at home can have an isolating effect after a period of time. Co-working is an easy fix to decreasing your feeling of isolation as well as seeing that you are not alone in some of the general struggles that freelancer/small business owner face. Working amidst others can lend a sense of camaraderie, even when you're creating alongside complete strangers. Having an increased sense of community and trust amongst peers has also been proven to help with general well-being and productivity.
3) More bang for your buck
People usually keep working at home because costs of renting a standalone office is oftentimes prohibitive. Co-working can open up opportunities at a high-quality office or location otherwise beyond your budget. By sharing resources and thereby reducing the amount of common office overheads like electricity, broadband and printer costs along with meeting rooms, gyms and any other cool amenities your space offers.
4) Networking and collaboration
Expand your personal and business networks with fun and ease. By co-working you will be introduced to industries and individuals that you may not ordinarily meet. In return you can have access to referrals, resources, skill-sets and opportunities to collaborate on projects too large for your own business.
5) No office tension/stress
Because there is little direct competition or internal politics, co-workers don’t feel they have to put on a work persona to fit in. Working amidst people doing different kinds of work can also make one’s own work identity stronger.
6) Better work life/balance
Using a co-working space that's flexible yet reflective of business hours helps entrepreneurs set their own boundaries that they may not be able to do as easily if they had a regular job. That way you can reinstate your dining table for family dinner, keep your bedroom free for relaxation and leave work at work.
Co-working allows for maximum flexibility and mobility to work and meet clients. Some facilities provide a mix of options for spaces that range from hot desks (unassigned spaces) to full offices so you can occupy just what you need with room to grow. One of the biggest perks of becoming a member of a co-working space is that it allows a small business to maintain a physical address for receiving packages and without having to hire additional staff or run back and forth.

There is also an abundance of parking available, so you get the convenience of being near everything without being in the overcrowded town centre George Town.
How Co-working Works
Work Next spaces are membership-based on month to month terms so you aren't locked into a long term lease agreement. You can sign up for longer periods to receive discounts but the initial commitment really is not at all onerous.
Membership includes access to broadband, printers, three meeting rooms and a private phone booth to call clients or record a podcast episode from. But wait's there's more! Members also get discounts a variety of art, dance and development classes offered at Art Nest.
We have seen a number of projects launched and organic collaborations by co-workers while they have been ‘nesting’ at Work Nest.
For example one of our co-workers who was displaced from the BVI by hurricane Irma said that she would not have been able to get to the launch point for her swimwear line "Lemon & Lima" in such a short span of time, had she not found Work Nest. Then there's the three leadership coaches who realized that their services were complimentary and teamed up to launch a more powerful platform called "Shift Now" to get their services to the wider community.
It’s stories like these that let us know that we’re on the right path by providing affordable work spaces for small companies and entrepreneurs.
Being an a small business or solopreneur has never been easier. Ready to level up to your maximum potential? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get nested.
